Awa Odori is a dance tradition passed down in Tokushima, on Japan’s island of Shikoku. Dancers and musicians perform together in groups called ren, each with its own character. We are Ebisu Ren. Our dance carries the traditional rhythm and an open, welcoming smile.

01Onna-odori
Straw hats, flowing hands and finely matched steps. This graceful style gives the procession its poised, unmistakable silhouette.
02Otoko-odori
Low stances meet light, energetic steps. Expressive movement brings a playful intensity to the dance.
03Happi dance
Our blue happi coats move to the beat. Open, lively gestures and shared timing carry the energy of the festival.

Gongs, drums, flutes and shamisen weave a two-beat rhythm that connects dancers and audience.
